Read the full manual - setting a watch, GPS sources, watching from ashore, and what to check when something looks wrong. The same text is inside the app under Settings, so it works with no signal.

Getting started

Open the app and choose On the Boat. Tap Set Up Watch, pick the scenario that fits (anchored, mooring buoy, stern-to, etc.), and the app drops your anchor at the current GPS position. Adjust the allowed distance and the alarm is armed.

Watching from a second device

On the boat device, open Settings → Sync with Other Devices to get a short share code. On the other phone, choose Monitoring Remotely and enter (or scan) the code. The monitor sees the live position and gets the same drag alarm - even when its app is in the background.

The alarm won't make a sound

On Android the alarm plays on the alarm channel, so it sounds even on silent. On iPhone it depends on Critical Alerts, added in 1.9.0: the app offers it the first time you arm a watch, and with it on the drag alarm gets through the silent switch and a Focus. Without it the app can sound the siren only while it is open on screen, so switch Silent off. Either way the alarm plays at your device volume, so turn it up: Settings shows a live meter and warns when it is too low. Send a Test Alert from Settings to confirm notifications reach your monitoring device.

External GPS (Bluetooth / chartplotter / Signal K)

Under Settings → GPS Sources you can connect a Bluetooth GPS, an NMEA 0183 source over TCP/UDP, or a Signal K server. In Auto mode the app uses whichever connected source reports the best accuracy.

Battery

The app eases off GPS while the boat is holding and sharpens up near the edge of the zone or while dragging. Keep the device charging overnight for an all-night watch.
